Two injured in 2 vehicle collision in Russell Springs, KY

Operator of 2006 Honda arrested, jailed for no operators license and no insurance and lodged in Russell County Jail at Jamestown, KY

RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY - Tpr. Mike Woodrum is investigating a collision that occurred on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 3pmCT on US 0127, 4 miles north of Russell Springs. 68-year-old James Butler of Russell Springs was traveling north on US 0127, operating a 2006 Toyota. Butler struck a 2006 Honda that was parked in the northbound emergency lane of US 0127.



The Honda was operated by 27-year-old Gilberto Cantoran of Russell Springs. He was belted at the time of the collision and was not injured. He was arrested and charged with having No Operator's License and No Insurance and lodged in the Russell County Jail.

Butler and a passenger, 64-year-old Bobbye Butler of Russell Springs, were wearing seatbelts but were transported to Russell County Hospital where they were treated and released.
