Lois Piercy, 90, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 7:10pmCT at the Metcalfe County Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10amCT at Edwards Chapel United MethodistChurch in Wayne County, KY, with Bro. Clifton Bennett officiating. Burial in Edwards Chapel Cemetery. Visitation after 5pmCT, Monday, July 9, 2012, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia and after 9amCT



Casket Bearers: Dole Burton, Eric Burton, Leslie Sapp, Rick Shelton, Jeff Wall, Oral Hancock, and Jeremy Wall.

Lois Piercy, 90, Adair County, KY (1922-2012)

She was born Sunday, March 19, 1922, in Wayne County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Merton and Florence Dishmon Hancock. She died Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 90 years, 3 months, and 19 days.

She was a member of Beulah Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, a homemaker andretired farmer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Piercy in 2007, bya daughter, Nora Ann Piercy, by four sisters & two brothers; Doris Watson, Hazel Fulton, BessieHancock, Glenna Hancock, Carl Hancock, Fred Hancock

Survivors include:

  • Four sisters: Bonnie Claywell, Chris Neat and Gladys Roy all of Columbia, KY; and Eva Jones of Monticello, KY

  • Two brothers: Earl Hancock of Monticello & Guy Hancock of New Castle, IN

  • Several nieces, nephews and friends
