Rodney Thompson, Sr., was the Hero of the Family Comments re article 52942 H Hunter Durham comments on Rodney Thompson his car Roger D. Smith DMD writes: Ed; Rodney was always one of my "Special Cousins." He was older and was a good example and I really enjoyed being around his Mom and Dad when I was growing up. I remember when he won the car, and later, as a youngster, being allowed to sit in the driver's seat was really cool. He was the Hero of the Family.Dr. Smith: While I agree with most of what you say, and I am a great admirer of the Hero of Your Family, I'd never thought anyone could be prouder than to call Red and Blackie Nixon kinfolks! I haven't been able to find my tie to them, yet, but I'm looking, and K. Scott, Mayor of Bliss, told me he'd heard on the television set that everybody on earth are cousins. At least you have papers showing you can claim kin. You are indeed fortunate. -EW This story was posted on 2012-07-05 15:11:43
