Mary's House. We're up to $4,540 as of July 4, 2012! But we still have a long way to go!If you haven't heard, here's what Mary's House is all about - and how you can help:

Cane Valley Christian Church, along with a group of concerned citizens, is raising money to build a new house for Mary McGuffin, a single, working mother with seven children, whose house recently burned. All donations will be escrowed until 100% of the funds are raised. Land and labor have already been donated.

Checks are to be made to Cane Valley Christian Church Benevolence Fund with a memo of "Mary's House." Please make all donations by August 1 so that construction can begin.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the people listed below:
- Jim Flowers - 634-1696
- Melissa Fudge - 634-3603
- Don Neat - 250-1512
- Larry Neat - 789-7830
- Debbie White - 384-5481
We invite you to join us in this endeavor to provide Mary and her children with a new home. Many people are "on board" and very eager to help God bless Mary through this building project. God uses people, and He wants to bless others through you. As you respond to His prompting, you will be blessed!

You may send your donations to either of the following:
- Melissa Fudge, 480 Fire Department Lane, Breeding, KY 42715
- Debbie White, 501 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY 42728
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

- Larry Neat, Chairman, Home Building Project

Mary's House drive has strong start - still a long way to go

2012-07-05 - Cane Valley, Adair Co., KY - Photo house by Benton Fudge; thermometer by Fran Neat.
Benton Fudge of South Central Designs provided this drawing of Mary's House, which is being built for Mary McGuffin and her seven children who lost their home and most of their possessions in a Keltnertown fire. When the thermometer is full - all red - the goal of $40,000 will have been reached. The target date is by August 1, 2012. That means a little over $1,000, on average, per day, will have to be raised. For information on helping the cause, click ReadMore.
