Photography Link: Tips on July 4th Fireworks picture taking

Photo at right taken July 2, 2012, at Edmonton, KY, by Johnnietta Jessie
Some really great photos of Fireworks have been posted over the years by contributing photographers. Some really great shots are not that hard, even with point and shoot pocket cameras. Still, a few tips may be needed by those who are trying it for the first time. Here's a link to a simple guide: 4th of July Guide: How to Photograph Fireworks at the Alamada Patch newspaper site.

CM welcomes submissions of Fireworks photographs, especially those which include a detailed cutline. For the big celebration tonight, vantage points and locations should be included. And a by the way: If you or a family member is a Winner at the Fair and you get a photo you'd like posted, send as a jpg attachment using any Contact/Submit button. Photos should be unedited and without type overlays of any kind (we'll post credits you send). While we don't promise to post every photo, we'll do our best to post the best. -EW
