News from the Adair County Fire Department

The Adair Co Fire Department has had a busy weekend with the dry conditions.

  • Saturday, June 30, 2012, we responded to a tractor and hay roller on fire on Sano Road with approx 1 acre of grass burned.

  • Sunday, July 1, we had two calls, both grass fires:
    • First one at 3:28pmCT, at 160 Ingram Road on property owned by Travis Coomer. Approximately 1 acre burned.
    • Second fire around 4:20pmCT, and it was a right of way off of Holmes Bend Road.

  • There were 15 firemen who responded to both fires and were on the scene a total of one hour.
