Adair Annex open as cooling station June 28-July 3, 2012

Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton will be opening the basement of the Adair County Annex Building, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, for a cooling station for any resident of Adair County needing escape from the extreme heat forecast for our area over the next few days.

The basement will be available 7am-9pmCT beginning tomorrow, Thursday, June 28, 2012 through Tuesday, July 3, 2012. the dates could be extended depending on the forecast for next week. If anyone is in need of assistance beyond this time frame, please call the Judge's Office at 270-384-4703.

Judge Melton would also like to remind everyone to check on elderly family members and neighbors and to keep plenty of water out for your pets during the extreme heat. --Gale Cowan, Adair County Fianance Officer
