Monthly Fly-in at Adair County Airport 196 for golf, Wm T's buffet Fourth Saturday fly-in at Adair County airport, 735 Country Club Road, Columbia draws planes to field and passengers to golf at The Pines and Fine Dining at William T's, next door at 275 Country Club Road. Golf carts transport visitors to the clubhouse. Airport hospitality is exceptional at event created by airport member Chris Janes. Public is invited to see the aircraft. And to join Critic Robert Osborne in two of his favorite things: Flying and golfing . . . and eating. Next Fourth Saturday Fly-in, Saturday, July 28, 2012. Reminder of this recurrent attraction now on CM Events. By Robert Osborne Every 4th Saturday of the month Kentucky pilots enjoy a great day at Adair County Airport. Pilots fly in from various airports in Kentucky to relax, make hanger talk and the real attraction is lunch at William T's Truly Exceptional Dining at The Pines at Linsey Wilson Golf Course. Saturday, the airport was a buzz of activity with light sport aircraft, vintage old taildraggers, and some fine flying machines.Pilots and their passengers were given the royal treatment by the staff at The Pines. Pilots and passengers were transported by golf cart to and from the Pines at Lindsey to fill up on one of the best buffets in the state of KY. The public is invited to join in the event. Come to the airport, look at the planes, talk to some pilots and join us for lunch at the Pines. Chris Janes, a member of the airport board has done a great job in creating this event. It is a win-win situation for the airport and for the Pines, which are two of my favorite things. Flying, and golfing.....and eating.
