Longstanding supporter of CM files complaint with ombudsman

Pictures are fattening, writer complains. Doesn't want to look like the Goodyear blimp which flew over this weekend. She's taken a vow, and doesn't want to break it.

By Melissa Stone writes:
I have long been an ardent supporter of all things ColumbiaMagazine related. However, I have my first ever complaint. The frequent wonderful photos of all the delicious looking food items is causing me to have yearnings that are not in keeping with my recent vow to attempt a healthy lifestyle!

The cheesecake from yesterday alone made me think thoughts that the fine folks at the Holloway Wellness Center might be sorely disappointed in. I envision the infamous angel on one shoulder quoting the trainers, "A healthy body is a happy body"; but the devil on the other shoulder seemed to be quite sincere when he said, "but that cheesecake looks so good"!

I'm going to have to learn the secret to the extraordinary willpower that must be present in all these fine Adair County cooks. If everyone had my willpower coupled with their obvious ability to create such magnificent culinary delights, we would all be bigger that the blimp that flew over this weekend!

- Melissa Stone
Melissa: This is Adair County. Look at the healthiest man around, Bruce Wilson, who practices the "Neutralization Diet," for good health and wise nutrition: A breakfast of Krispy cream donuts followed by a General Nutrition Center lunch, with the good neutralizing the bad. I suppose Cheesecake, followed by a workout at Holloway would be Neutralization Therapy, too. Thanks for being a supporter of CM. And, as always, we are trying to do better. -EW
