Mr. Sinclair requests citizens only bring recyclables to Center

Adair Recycling Center can receive a lot of materials, but A.L. Sinclair sends out request for residents not to put household trash in Center's dumpsters

By A. L. Sinclair, Coordinator
News from Adair County Recycling Center

We have encountered numerous problems at Adair County Recycling Center withresidents disposing of their household trash in the dumpsters, this causes them to overflow; therefore, we do not have room needed in the dumpsters to operate the RecyclingCenter, until it is time for them to be emptied for the week.

Please only bring items to the center that can be recycled. We would like to encourageresidents to use the Adair County Recycling Center; the following items can be broughtinto the Recycling Center.
- Paper: office paper, colored paper, junk mail
- Plastic: milk jugs, soda bottles, orange juice , laundry productbottles, water bottles, cooking oil bottles, grocery bags (pleaseremove caps, and rinse)
- Metal: metal food cans
- Aluminum cans
- Cardboard
- Newspapers
- Magazines and phone books
- Books: paperback or hardback
- Used motor oil
We also have a PAPER SHREDDER; we will do the shredding or you can personallyshred private documents.

Thanks for your time and help.
