Click to article in response: BIlly Joe Fudge brings enlightenment on Knifley monster bug

By The COF
In search of bug-learning

As my old Latin teacher, Brother Fulgencia, used to mutter each morning as he entered the classroom "Caveat, Hic sunt Monstra et Dracones".

The creature in the accompanying photo is obviously not a Dragon but Miz Emily figures we outta be a known' the name of those who opt to share our little bit of Eden. Reckon iffn ennyone knows the proper form of address for this guest we would be obliged iffen they saw fit to share hit with us. - The COF

This creature is beyond the ken of the resident CM varmintologists - This is obviously a case for Dr. McQuaide or Billy Joe Fudge. Oh that Dr. Neat were still in the Historic Courthouse? He would have known. Those of us who studied hard at his feet can only remember what his first question would have been, if one had asked over the telephone. "Is it a fractious or peace loving creature?" Were he Linnaeous, we would have had trinominal nomenclature, with a modifier, for fractious or non fractious for each and every kind. Surely someone will know the answer you seek. -EW
