Leona W. Davis, 86, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 5:15amET., Saturday, June 2, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10am noon CT, Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY byDr. Ted Taylor. Burial will be in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the funeral home.



Leona Davis, Campbellsville, KY (1925-2012)

Leona W. Davis was the daughter of the late George F. Wooley and Nannie Beth Murphy Wooley. She was born Saturday, December 19, 1925 in Marion County, KY. She died Saturday, June 2, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, Ky, at the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was a former secretary for the Soil Conservation Service.

She united in marriage to Paul J. Davis August 4, 1945.

Besides her husband, Paul J. Davis of Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by the following:
  • One sister: Geneva Cox

  • One sister in law: Maxine Wooley of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her nieces and nephews: Norma Jean Rogers, Ricky Claycomb and wife, Lisa and Matthew Wooley and wife, Connie, all of Campbellsville, KY; Denise Wooley and friend, Cathy Rigney of Winchester, KY; Sharon Phillips and husband, Mark of Lexington, KY; Vicki Reesman and husband, Frank of Buffalo, KY; Muriel Ann Parrish and husband, Clyde of Sarasota, Florida; and Ronnie Ringer and wife Patsy of North Carolina

  • Several great nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, Irene Floyd, Bernice Russell, Ruth Wells and David Wooley.
