Farmers' Market open today, Friday, May 25, 2012

News from Adair Farmers Market

We're rocking and rolling this morning. Cait couldn't make it, but she sent bread by her father, and the fresh produce is rolling in. We're also welcoming new vendors today. Janie and Ken Mooney, who live in the Pelham Road suburbs of Cane Valley. Margie still has some great fresh produce and plants, but early customers are grabbing them up. If you know the difference in fresh and brought-on potatoes, this is a great day to be here! They're in abundance. We're here from 6am-10amCT, today. Here's what we have:

New Hours for 2012:The Adair County Farmer's Market will open on Friday, May 4, 2012. Farmer's Market hours for May 2012 will be Tuesdays, 3pm-6pmCT and Fridays 6am-10amCT. The Farmer's Market will begin Saturday morning sales sometime in June as more produce becomes available. Ken and Janie Mooney: New vendors at Farmers Market

The Adair County Farmers Market welcomes Janie and Ken Mooney of Cane Valley area to the farmers market today for the first time. They have: Kennebec Potatoes. Yukon Gold Potatoes. Red Potatoes. Cabbage. Zucchini. Summer Squash. Next week market they hope to bring even more more, including Farm Fresh Eggs. The fresh produce is in abundance from our members' gardens today, and we still have great plants for other gardens. And Darrell Bunnell of Coview farms, who's here with his own produce, plants and eggs in addition to Caitlyn's bread, has Blueberries! - Beth Rutherford
