MARION, IN - Sharon Ronoh finished third in the women's 10,000-meter run, earning six team points and being named an All-American for Lindsey Wilson at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at the Indiana Wesleyan Outdoor Track Complex, 4201 S. Washington St. Marion IN.

Takudzwa Mhlanga also competed on day one of the championships on the men's side, finishing seventh in the second heat of the 110-meter hurdles in a sprint that involved interference from the next lane.

Mhlanga's time of 15.38 seconds put him in 28th place overall, not making the cut for Friday's finals.

For Ronoh, her long-distance run on Thursday night was the finals, crossing the finish line in 36 minutes and 30.46 seconds. Azusa Pacific's (CA) Lauren Jimison won the race with a showing of 35:54.03.

The NAIA adopted a new All-American policy this year, awarding all student-athletes that score points in an event the honor. Ronoh's place in the 10,000 gives her three All-American awards in her career with the 5,000-meter run to follow on Friday.

Other Blue Raiders waiting to compete are a trio of race walkers.

Lindsey Wilson College's Ricardo and Roberto Vergara are in the men's 5,000-meter race walk, while Reini Brickson will walk in the women's race around 2:05pmET on Friday, May 25, 2012, in NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at the Indiana Wesleyan Outdoor Track Complex, 4201 S. Washington St. Marion IN. Ronoh races in the 5,000-meter preliminaries at 7:30pmET later in the evening.
