LWC's Cara Law adds All-American to her resume Softball: Law was already MSC Pitcher of the Year Click on headline for full story with photo(s) By Dan White News from Lindsey Wilson College KANSAS CITY, MO - Cara Law became Lindsey Wilson's fifth NAIA Softball All-American after national office officials released the official list on Thursday. Law is one of 20 student-athletes receiving honorable-mention honors. The All-America teams are selected by the NAIA All-America Committee which chose a First and Second Team, along with the list of Honorable Mention honorees. Law finished the season with a 19-5 record in the circle for the Blue Raiders, pitching 152 innings with just a 1.52 ERA. The junior allowed opposing batters to hit just .180 against her, while posting 117 strikeouts and tallying 12 complete games. Prior to the Mid-South Conference Tournament in late April, Law was named the league's pitcher of the year. The honor kept a Lindsey Wilson streak alive with the award as former pitcher Anyibell Ramirez was the recipient in 2010 and 2011. Kim Frazier from Lubbock Christian (Texas) was named the NAIA Player of the Year and Lily LaVelle from Oklahoma City earned pitcher of the year honors. - Dan White This story was posted on 2012-05-24 15:33:52
