Memorial Day Service will be inside air conditioned VFW Post Hall

Program will include an address by our newly elected Senior Vice Commander Fred Troutman

By Joe Hare, VFW Post 6097 Post Commander

Due to the predicted extreme heat for Sunday May 27, VFW Post 6097 has decided to move a large part of the scheduled Memorial Day program inside the Post Hall. 411 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, where we have air conditioning and seating. The program starts at 2pmCT.

We wish to make this as comfortable as possible for all to attend and be a part of this important remembrance.

We will move outside near the end of the program, to the Memorial Monument for the firing squad salute, taps and the laying of the wreaths. Time will be allowed for all that wish to come up to the Monument for this last part of the program to join us. Seating will be set up there for those that will need to sit. We hope this will encourage more of you to come join us and not be so affected by the extreme heat. - Joe Hare Commander
