Lots of possibilities for the neighborhood Miss Victoria comments on stuff we don't know enough about to write about: On the Cracker Barrel which might be built at the old underwear plant site in Campbellsville, KY. She heard about it in Russell Springs while out of her head on Novocain. "My neighborhood' she refers to is around the Crossroads of America, where the Chattanooga Highway crosses the Cumberland Parkway or, KY 61 S & the Louie B. Nunn in Greater Bliss, KY. About: Stuff we don't know enough about to write about By Victoria Pike I heard the Cracker Barrel tale at the dentist in Russell Springs the other day from some poor man getting a tooth extracted in the other room. I just figured he was out of his head on Novacain. I haven't heard any news on the motel or any other big developments in our neighborhood but there sure is a lot of measuring and looking going on out here. I do know one thing for certain. We definitely need some direction signs placed at the Walmart intersection to alert forks not to turn down HWY West 80 to get on the Cumberland PKWY. It seems that when they get to my driveway, they figure it out and attempt to turn around. Some are way too long, guess you know who, and back into gates and fences. Not to mention backing off into the grass after a 3 inch rain and making a gully. One took great offense when I pulled crossways of OUR gate and wouldn't let him in to turn around. Threw the thing in reverse and thought I was going to move. I didn't and am still here. I have a number to call to make some suggestions on new meaningful signs directing people to the proper entrance to the Parkway. You will be the first to know if I hear of any more progress, as they call it, in this neighborhood. Sorry I 't be of more help. The only news I have to report is that it is hay cutting time. Twenty acres down and one tired little farm gal. Everything didn't quite go as planned but finally got started after two days of getting ready. --Victoria Pike This story was posted on 2012-05-18 10:22:26
