A thank you from Lindsey Wilson family to Cafe on the Square 'Our motto at Lindsey is Every student, every day, and it is wonderful to see others in the community adopting that same value and encouraging our students in such a manner!' - REBECCA PHILLIPS By Rebecca Phillips On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of Lindsey Wilson College, I would like to thank the owners and staff members of the Cafe on the Square for their efforts in reaching out to our students during the grueling schedule of finals week! During the last week of each semester at LWC, the Cafe staff goes above and beyond to keep their doors open 24-hours a day in order to ensure that our students have a place to go to study, work on projects, and write their final papers. The owners of the Cafe even go so far as to collect donations from other local businesses in order to provide free food, drinks, and coffee to those students who might require a late-night snack or drink to stay awake. Our motto at Lindsey is "Every student, every day", and it is wonderful to see others in the community adopting that same value and encouraging our students in such a manner! President Luckey even took notice saying, "I have heard many students comment on how welcoming the people are at the Cafe on the Square! I am so thrilled to know of their efforts to help our students!"We at Lindsey would like to send a sincere thank you to the Cafe on the Square, as well as to all local businesses who donated to help encourage our students through finals week! - Rebecca Phillips This story was posted on 2012-05-13 04:20:44
