Kentucky Color - Red bud update Click on headline for essay with photo(s) By Billy Joe Fudge Retired District Forester, KY Division of Forestry What a difference a little late frost can make and because of it, the contrast between Red bud bean pods and heart shaped leaves has never been greater. Normally, Red bud has many more leaves which tend to obscure our view of the bean pods but this year just take a look see at Red bud and you will notice the enhanced contrast. There is so much beauty surrounding us all. We just need to make a conscious effort to slow down, soak it in and experience the joy. - Billy Joe Fudge This story was posted on 2012-05-10 05:54:50
