LWC recognizes outstanding sixth grade math students

By Duane Bonifer
News from Lindsey Wilson College

Lindsey Wilson College was invaded Wednesday by 65 beasts from Adair County Elementary School. The "beasts" were sixth-graders who had scored 100-200 points in their accelerated math program work during the 2011-12 school year. The students, who were accompanied by teachers Pat Coomer and Jennifer Kemp, were rewarded for their outstanding work in mathematics by spending part of the morning at LWC's Doris and Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center, followed by lunch in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. Many of the students wore t-shirts that read "Math Beast."
