Shooting follows after alleged assault in domestic altercation By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY TOMPKINSVILLE, KY - At 5:59amCT, the Kentucky State Police responded to a shooting in Monroe County following a domestic violence altercation. Upon arriving at the scene on Edmonton Road, Troopers discovered that Amanda Jackson, age 23 of Tompkinsville, had shot Timothy Darrell Jackson, age 27 of Tompkinsville, after allegedly being assaulted by him. Mr. Jackson was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Detective James Richard is continuing the investigation into the incident. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Monroe County Sheriffs Department and Monroe County EMS.
