Lady Indian Meridith Corbin signs with Lindsey Wilson Softball New Blue Raider Softball player has been member of Adair County High School varsity squad since 8th grade. Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Chris Wells, Lindsey Wilson Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - Adair County softball student-athlete Meridith Corbin signed an NAIA scholarship with Lindsey Wilson College for the 2012-13 season, Blue Raider head softball coach Ashley McCool-Cozart announced on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Corbin is the daughter of Greg Corbin and LaGene Sexton and is undecided on a college major. Corbin has pitched for the varsity team at Adair since eighth grade, earning a spot on the 2009 All Fifth-Region Team and being a three-time All 20th-District selection along the way. The Lady Indians captured the 2011 district championship behind Corbin's arm as she was named Defensive Player of the Year. At Lindsey Wilson, Corbin said she "hopes to improve her game and start a new chapter of softball at a higher level." Adair has posted a 16-7 record heading into a Thursday, May 3 contest at Casey County. They are 7-5 against fifth region teams. The Lady Indians have won five straight games, including a close 7-6 win against neighboring Russell County.
