AC Garden Club will hold blueberry growing class May 24, 2012 Blueberries have Super Powers. Blueberries are ranked as having one of the highest antioxidant capacities among all fruits and vegetables By Barbara Armitage News from the Adair County Garden Club The Adair County Garden Club will host a "Growing Blueberries" class at 1pmCT, Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the Adair County Extension Services Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, presented by Beth Wilson, Pulaski County Horticulturist Everyone is invited to attend. The Garden Club meets at 1pmCT on the 4th Thursday of each month in a variety of locations. Each meeting is designed to expand your knowledge of gardening techniques, landscape ideas, environmental issues, natural resources, birds, wildlife and more. Blueberries are ranked as having one of the highest antioxidant capacities among all fruits and vegetables. There is also new evidence that blueberries can even improve memory. We all know that gardeners have super powers! So if super gardeners eat super blueberries there isn't anything we couldn't do. There are no fees or dues to be a member of the Garden Club and everyone is welcome. We are committed to making Adair County a more beautiful, safer and healthier place to live.
