News from the Adair County Garden Club

Members of the Adair County Garden Club gathered under the shade of the old Pawpaw tree in the back yard of the historic Trabue House to learn how easy it is to grow mushrooms at home.

The gardeners had a wonderful time learning how to inoculate logs with Shitake mushroom spores with Master Gardeners Sara and Jim Sproles.

You're invited to be part of the next class by joining the Adair County Garden Club now.

The Garden Club meets at 1pmCT on the 4th Thursday of each month in a variety of locations. Each meeting is designed to expand knowledge of gardening techniques, landscape ideas, environmental issues, natural resources, birds, wildlife and more.

There are no fees or dues to be a member of the Garden Club and everyone is welcome.

We are committed to making Adair County a more beautiful, safer and healthier place to live. Adair County Garden Club members take pride in our community and invite you join us and make a difference.
