She was a member of a large, respected East Adair County, KY, family. She leaves 27 direct living descendants. She was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Sarah Elizabeth Bryant age 99 years of Louisville, KY formerly of the Sano Community in Adair County passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:02pmCT at the Summerfield Health and Rehab in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Campbell, the officiating clergy. Interment will in Freedom Cemetery. 576 Freedom Church Road. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT.

She was born on July 21, 1912 in Adair County, KY.She was the daughter of the late John Alfred and Helen Loveless McGaha. She died Monday, April 23, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 99 years, 9 months, and 2 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Bryant on May 20, 1989; and by one son and one daughter: John C. Bryant on October 14, 2011, Montress Ann Herrin on November 7, 1979; also one grandchild Danny Woodruff and one great great grandchild Aundrea Collins

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Jean Woodruff of Louisville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren
  • <
  • Sixteen great grandchildren

  • Several other relatives and friends
