James E. Capps, Cumberland Co., KY (1932-2012)

He was a member of a highly regarded Cumberland County family. He was a member of Hebron Lane Church of Christ, a United States Army Veteran and was retired from General Electric where he worked for over 30 years

Mr. James E. Capps, age 79, of the Brooks, Kentucky and formerly of Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away on Thursday April 19, 2012 in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Christian Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1pmCT, on Sunday April 22, 2012 until service time.



James E. Capps, Cumberland Co., KY (1932-2012)

He was born on Friday July 22, 1932 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of Willie and Thelma Brewington Capps. He died Thursday, April 19, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 28 days.

He was a member of Hebron Lane Church of Christ, a United States Army Veteran and was retired from General Electric where he worked for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Williams Capps, of Brooks, KY, and the following:
  • His daughters: Lisa (and Roger) Hillis, Leticia (and Kevin) King

  • Three grandchildren: Lesley Hillis, Jeremy Hillis and Lacy King.
