Joyce Cecil Janes, 67, Adair Co., KY (d. April 14, 2012)

She was a member of a respected Adair County family. She leaves six direct living descendants. She attended Union Chapel Church and was a homemaker

Joyce Cecil Janes age 67 years. Columbia, KY, formerly of the Sparksville community passed away Saturday. April 14, 2012 at 11:30pmCT, at her home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 3pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Janes the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will after 8:30amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Ural and Corine McClister Furkin and was the widow of Cody Thomas Janes who preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1990

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Derak Janes and Roger Janes of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Norman Furkin and wife Ruby of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Nicholas Janes, Zachary Janes, Jeremy Janes and< Keisha Janes

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She attended Union Chapel Church and worked at Oshkosh B'Gosh.
