Loretta Shanklin, Adair County, KY (d, April 12, 2012)

She was a native of Adair County, KY, the daughter of the late Martin Sharp and the late Addie Bell Sharp. She was a member of a respected Adair County family. She had worked in Louisville, KY, for many years and was a member of the Eastern Star

Loretta Shanklin age 94 years of Louisville, Ky. formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

A service celebrating Loretta Shanklin's life will be held 1pmET, graveside on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Louisville Memorial Gardens, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 10amET on Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home until service time.



She was the daughter of the late Martin and Addie Bell Sharp of Adair County.

She was the widow of John E. Shanklin.

Loretta had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had worked in Louisville for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Shanklin of Louisville, Ky.grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Logue and Aaron Jessie.This obituary information is a courtesy to the family by Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.
