Adair Countians have free tipping Friday and Saturday Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton and the Adair County Fiscal Court, will offer free tipping at the Mid-West Transfer Station, 877 L. Willis Road today, Friday, April 13, 2012, and until noon tomorrow. The free tipping offers an opportunity for residents of Adair County to dispose of unwanted items and materials. The free tipping is done with the funding of the PRIDE organization. "Due to funding reduction there will not be dumpsters or a Saturday clean-up. We hope that additional funding will be available in the fall," Lisa Lee, co-chair of PRIDE in Adair County said. Adair County Solid Waste Coordinator A.L. Sinclair is the other co-chair; he will be at the Free Tipping Site much of the day. Free tipping will be on two days at the Mid-State Transfer Station, L. Willis Road, Columbia, KY:
Paint will be accepted, only if it has been dried with either sand and/or cat litter. Personnel will be on-site to help with unloading, and will have sign-in sheets for PRIDE, please make sure to sign the paper, according to the number of signatures we may be able to increase our funding for the fall. For additional information please contact Judge Executive Ann Melton's Office, Suite 1, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Phone 270-384-4703, during normal business hours, 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. This story was posted on 2012-04-13 02:59:31
