Inmate assaulted in Russell County Jail By TFC Wm. Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY (COLUMBIA, KY) - On Tuesday, April 10 at approximately 4:30pmCT, Russell County Jailer Bobby Dunbar contacted Post 15 in reference to the assault of an inmate. The investigation revealed that an argument between inmates, 22-year-old Anthony Cook of Jamestown, KY, and 52-year-old Roger Harmon of Campbellsville, KY, led to Harmon being assaulted. Harmon sustained a fractured nose, head laceration and other minor injuries and was taken to University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment. Cook and Harmon were both being held on charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamines. Detective Russell Decker is investigating and was assisted by Tpr Adam Likens.
