LOUISVILLE, KY - Lindsey Wilson's Anna Gaprindashvili is the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday, April 9, 2012.

The weekly conference honor is Gaprindashvili's first of the season.

Gaprindashvili won twice in singles and doubles last week for the Blue Raiders.

The Georgia, Russia native won both of her singles matches as the fifth seed. Gaprindashvili beat Auburn-Montgomery's Hagar Caro 6-4, 6-4, before capping off her perfect week with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of UVa.-Wise's Lauren Powers.

In doubles, the freshman partnered with Rocio Cardo and won by forfeit over AUM's third-seeded doubles team and beat UVa.-Wise's Powers and Kayla Kilgore 8-0.

Gaprindashvili improved to 12-2 in singles and 8-3 in doubles action with the four wins.

No. 12 Lindsey Wilson split its two matches last week, losing 6-3 at top-ranked AUM, while beating UVa.-Wise 9-0 to claim the MSC Regular-Season Championship.

Lindsey Wilson is 11-3 overall and completed MSC regular-season play with a 6-0 mark. - Dan White
