LWC Women's Tennis clinches MSC title with 9-0 win at UVa/Wise Regular season MSC women's tennis champions will be back home at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on Tuesday. Click on headline for complete Victory at Wise story and event details By Dan White WISE, VA - The 12th ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team clinched the Mid-South Conference Regular-Season Championship in style, shutting out Virginia-Wise 9-0 on Saturday at the Jim Humphreys Tennis Complex. The Blue Raiders (11-3, 6-0 MSC) didn't drop a set in the match and had only one scare in singles play. While every other match was lopsided in Lindsey Wilson's favor, Rocio Cardo had to finish off Melissa Blackburn 6-2, 7-6 (0) at No. 6. The Cavaliers (6-5, 2-3 MSC) fell behind 3-0 after doubles play with Lindsey Wilson dropping just one game. Trina Slapeka and Slavica Milanovic won 8-0 at No. 1 against Brianna Stallard and Mary Jo Stallard. Diana Gerlakh and Laura Vergara teamed at No. 2 for an 8-1 win against Whitney Bolling and Megan Buchanan. Anna Gaprindashvili and Rocio Cardo wrapped up the doubles sweep at No. 3 with an 8-0 win against Lauren Powers and Kayla Kilgore.
