Two car injury collision occurs E. of Springfield, KY

SPRINGFIELD, KY - Trooper Jonathan Houk is investigating a collision which occurred 7 miles East of Springfield on US 150 at 11:40amET, Monday, April 1, 2012.



Virginia Heintz, age 53, of Boston, KY. was operating a 2009 Toyota Yaris, Westbound on US 150 when she sideswiped a 1987 Pontiac which was being operated by Lucille Nichols, age 61, of Gravel Switch, KY, which was also Westbound on US 150 attempting to make a left hand turn.

Both operators were belted. Heintz was not injured. A passenger in Heintz vehicle, Sue Ballard, age 73, of Boston, KY. who was belted, was transported to Flaget Hospital in Bardstown by Washington County,EMS.

Two passengers in Nichols vehicle, Sonny Nichols, age 64, of Gravel Switch and Tyler Nichols, age 12, of Gravel Switch were both belted but not injured.
