Some tie-ups on I-65 south in Warren County, KY

By Kiersten Jaggers
News from KY Transportation Cabinet, District 3, Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (2012-03-30) - With spring break next week for many and several traveling to New Orleans to see the games, traffic on Interstate 65 is starting to experience back ups.

As of 12:30pmCT, Friday, there was approximately a two mile back up for southbound I-65 between Scottsville Road/Exit 22 and Cemetery Road/Exit 26. Traffic was moving at approximately 5-10 mph through this stretch of I-65.

Part of the issue with the bottleneck occurring at Exit 22 is the lane closure in place for the construction project currently ongoing at the interchange. Traffic is pushed down to two lanes at this location on I-65.

If you have plans to travel southbound on I-65 today, an alternate route through Warren County may save some time and gas. -Kiersten Jaggers
