David Ronald Stapp, Sr., 65,, Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 2pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Steve Wheeler and Bro. Cleveland Johnson the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Blakey Cemetery. Visitation will be after12pm noon CT, Saturday.



David Ronald Stapp, Sr., Russell County, KY (1946-2012)

He was born Thursday, October 31, 1946, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Zula Mae Lawhorn Stapp and the late Forest Aldon Stapp. He died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 28 days.

He was an electrician.

He is survived by the following:
  • Five children: Lashana Stapp, Columbia, KY; and Amanda Stapp, Allen Stapp, David Ronald Stapp, Jr; and Bruce Stapp, all of Arkansas.

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Elaine (Roger) Collins, and Ellen (Billy) Loy, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five brothers: Preston (Cola) Stapp; Arvis (Linda) Stapp, Phillip (Patsy) Stapp; and Dennis (Linda) Stapp, all of Russell Springs, KY; and Michael Stapp of Indiana
He was preceded in death by one brother, Garvis Gray Stapp.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
