Red Writers workshop for aspiring writers in Edmonton, KY

Instruction will be offered for work in non-fiction, poetry, and songwriting, with Gary Barker, Darlene Franklin-Campbell, and Andy and Tony Tanero

The Edmonton Red Writers in association with the Metcalfe County Public Library, 200 S. Main Street, Edmonton, KY, will host a writers workshop on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 10am-2 pmCT. The workshop will have three sessions with short breaks for refreshments between each session.
  • Session 1: Non-fiction: How to Write it...How to Sell it, will be lead by Gary Barker, respected historical author whose work has appeared in numerous historical magazines and journals.
  • Session 2: Poetry: Have Fun and Get Paid for It...will be led by Darlene Franklin-Campbell, southern novelist and 2012 recipient of the Mary Ballard Poetry Award.
  • Session 3: Songwriting: will be led by the seasoned, professional songwriting and performing team of Andy and Tony Tanero.
After session three authors will be available to sign books and CDs and writers are encouraged to mingle and network. Anyone with an interest in writing, music or meeting authors is encouraged to attend and may attend any or all sessions. - Darlene Campbell..
