LW's Fernando Bagajo, Malaga, Spain, MSC Player of Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College's Fernando Bogajo is the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday, March 26, 2012.

The award is Bogajo's first of the season and his career.



Bogajo won twice in singles and doubles last week to help the Blue Raiders collect a pair of wins over Indiana Tech and St. Catharine (KY).

The Malaga, Spain native began with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Indiana Tech's Nikolas Jubera Munoz in the top singles match. Bogajo and doubles partner Fredrik Graaner blitzed Munoz and Sriram Aranganathan 8-2 in the top doubles match to help Lindsey Wilson to the 9-0 win..

The freshman completed his perfect week in singles with a 6-4, 6-0 win over St. Catharine's No. 1 Pablo Zamora. He and Graaner added to the Blue Raiders' 9-0 win with an 8-2 decision over Andre Jacomini and Ethan Rowton in the top doubles match..

The wins move Bogajo to 15-1 this season in singles play -- including 12 straight wins -- and 8-8 in doubles..

No. 12 Lindsey Wilson is 12-4 overall and sits atop the MSC standings with a 4-0 conference record.
