Bicycle/van collision in Marion County results in injury to cyclist

Collision near Glasscock Elementary School

LEBANON, KY - Trooper Josh Dicken is investigating a collision that occurred one mile North of Lebanon on Barboursmill Road at approximately 12:50pmET, Sunday, March 25, 2012.



12 year old, Madalynn Thompson of Lebanon, KY, was riding a bicyle down a hill at Glasscock Elementary attempting to turn North on Barboursmill Road when she struck a 1997 Pontiac Van being operated by 51 year old Linda Coleman of Springfield, KYColeman along with a passenger in her vehicle, 3 year old Ajaihay Johnson were both belted and not injured. Madalynn Thompson was not wearing a helmet and transported to Springview Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Trooper Dicken was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County EMS.
