Found cat - gender as yet unknown - in Little Cake Gritty - but very sweet - little kitty has endured at least two encounters with doggish ilk, so person who adopts it must have no cat-hating canines. It's available for adoption, unless human associate of the wonderful creature calls to claim. By Shelley Davis We have a probably abandoned kitty that has shown up in our yard. My dad saw it the other day when he took one of his dogs for a walk in the woods. The dog-cat confrontation was not pretty. It showed up in our yard on Tuesday night, where it encountered 2 other dogs. Again, not a pretty confrontation. I have it in a cage with food, water, and 'litter' pan temporarily until I find someone to take it. Obviously, with so many cat-hating dogs, we can't keep it. It is long-haired, mostly white with black markings. I don't know right now the sex, I didn't want to stress it more at the time. I will check and have this edited. I assume it is abandoned because it is friendly and very skinny. If you have lost a long-haired white cat in the Little Cake Road area of Adair County, KY or would like to save this sweet kitty from an uncertain future, please call Shelley at 270-384-0708. I will update with photos. - Shelley Davis Thanks for the very moving story, Shelley Davis. We'll update with photos as soon as possible after you send them. -EW This story was posted on 2012-03-21 07:47:15
