One injured in collision in Loretto, KY

LORETTO, KY - Trooper Morris Farris is working a collision that occurred at approximately 2:10pmCT, in the limits of Loretto on KY49.

The collision occurred when a 2002 GMC pickup truck, operated by Thomas Calvin Newton, age 54, of Loretto, was traveling Northbound on KY 49 and attempted to make a left hand turn into the parking lot of Loretto Foodland.

Newton's vehicle turned into the path of a 1998 Nissan, operated by Michael F. Hayslip, age 61, of New Haven, who was traveling Southbound on KY49.



Both subjects were belted at the time of the collision. Newton was not injured. Hayslip was transported by Marion County EMS to Spring View Hospital for minor injuries.
