James R. Roberts, Russell Co., KY (1930-2012)

He served his country in the United States Air Force, attended the Word of God Church, and was a tow truck driver. He was the patriarch of a large, respected Russell County, KY family and leaves 19 direct living descendants.

James R. Roberts, 81, Clara Drive, Russell Springs, KY, died at 2:12amCT, Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 3pmCT, Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Burial will be in Jamestown City Cemetery, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Wednesday, at Wilson Funeral Home.



James R. Roberts, Russell Co., KY (1930-2012)

James R. Roberts was born August 17, 193030, in Albany, Clinton County, KY. He was the son of the late Anna Craig Roberts Retz and John Roberts. He died March 19, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

He was a tow truck driver and attended the Word of God Church. He was a veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Mason Roberts, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Carla, wife of Jim DeMoss, Russell Springs, KY, and Cheryl, the wife of Donald Turner, also of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sons: James Roberts, Jr., Everett, WA; David Roberts, Vancouver, WA; and John, husband of Christy Roberts, New Mexico

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren
Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
