Shirley Ann Maupin, Taylor Co., KY (1940-2012)

Shirley Ann Maupin, 71, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Evansville, Indiana.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Parrott& Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY byRev. Ted Tempel. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Shirley Ann Maupin, daughter of the late Oscar Newton and Gladys Rafferty Newton, was born in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana, June 3, 1940. She diedTuesday, March 13, 2012 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana. At the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 10 days.

She was the state wide director of Kentucky Toll services and a retired property manager.

She was a member of The Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and two sons: Julie Welch and Carol Maupin of Evansville, Indiana, Marty Maupin of Bowling Green and Daryl Maupin of Springfield, TN

  • Six grandchildren: Kevin Maupin, Shelby Maupin, Lauren Taylor Maupin, Natalie Maupin, Nicholas Maupin and Blake Leach

  • Four brothers and four sisters: Carolyn Whitlock, Margaret Gadberry, J. Paul Newton, David Alan Newton and Mike Newton of Campbellsville, KY; Faye Atcher of Radcliffe, Bonnie Claycomb of Bowling Green, KY; and Rick Newton of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Dorris Ray Newton November 18, 1994, Jan Cates May 31, 1991 and Billy Newton February 7, 2010.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
