Mary Guffey, Hwy 379, Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCt, Tuesday, March 13, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Eugene Sneed officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, March 12, 2012. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

Mary Guffey, Russell Co., KY (1932-2012)

She was born Tuesday, June 28, 1932, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Titus Richards and the late Josephine (Wooten) Richards. She died Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 12 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Middletown Community Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Guffey, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Sons: Carl, husband of Sue Guffey, Russell Springs, KY; and Bobby Joe, husband of Colleen Guffey, Russell Springs, KY

  • Daughters: Martha, wife of John Greer, Indianapolis, IN; Marie Wortman, Indianapolis, IN; Nila, wife of Randy Perkins, Franklin, IN; and Brenda, wife of Ernest Brockman, Russell Springs, KY

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Eighteen great grandchildren

  • Sister: Beverly Hendricks, Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother: Weldon Jack Richards, Russell Springs, KY
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two children, James Lawrence Guffey and Nettie LaFollette.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
