He was a son of the late Stanley and Betty Glass Abner and was employed as an electrician

Ricky Joe Abner, age 44 of Glasgow, KY, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro Burl Pitcock officiating. Burial will follow in the Shirley Cemetery.



He was a son of the late Stanley and Betty Glass Abner and was employed as an electrician.

He is survived by the following:
  • A daughter, Mollie Ann Abner of Glasgow, KY

  • Three brothers, Mark Abner, Keith Abner and Kevin Abner and wife, Penny all of Glasgow, KY
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, Ky. 42166 to help with funeral expenses.
