Carlos Dale Ervin, age 75, of Greensburg, KY, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and after 9amCT, Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Willie Robert and Effie Shirley Ervin.

He was a retired logger.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Danny (Bessie) Ervin of Glasgow, KY

  • Three daughters: Cathy (David) Coffey of Smith Grove, KY; Freeda (Bobby) Green of Smith Grove, KY; and Judy Ervin of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Norma Ervin Chaney of Cave City. KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • A special friend Martha Caven of Greensburg, KY

  • The mother of his children, Jo Ann Ervin of Glasgow, KY
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Ricky Ervin.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrrangements.
