KY 768/Sparksville RD Daffodils show on old Rufus Bragg place

MP 19 on KY 768 is heart of Harvey's Ridge, home to Abner Harvey, the Bragg clan, and a major element of the big Stotts families.

By Billy Joe Fudge

This is known to my parents generation as the "Rudolph Bragg" place. The home burned when I was but a child. I think Rudolph's son still owns this farm which is one of the most beautiful, rolling, limestone outcrop farms that I've seen.

This is really the heart of Harvey's Ridge. Right behind the photographer is the "Abner Harvey" farm and my mom grew up about 150 yards from this spot. Her dad, my grandpa was Wilbert Stotts, the oldest of 17 children who passed away in 1959, I believe. Her mother, my grandma was Mary Elizibeth Furkin Stotts who was one of 7 children. And yes, with around 20 great uncles and great aunts I am kin to about every person in the Great Wooded South and many well beyond. - Billy Joe Fudge
