Katelyn Elizabeth Spears, age 2, of Burkesville, Ky, passed away Thursday March 1, 2012 at the Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 10amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Shaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT, on Sunday March 4, 2012 until the service time on Monday.

She was born on Tuesday June 9, 2009 in Glasgow, Ky the daughter of Jeff and Bianca Brown Spears. She died Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 2 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

She attended Leslie United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Aldon Spears, Sr., Robert Scott, Ezra Vibbert, her great-grandmothers, Mary Kate Spears, Iretis Vibbert, Cricket Vibbert and her great-uncle, Johnny Scott.

She is survived by her her parents, Jeff and Biannca Brown Spears of Burkesville, KY, and the following:
  • Her paternal grandparents: Aldon (and Rhonda) Spears, Jr. of Burkesville, KY, and Lisa Vibbert (and Doc Davis) of Greensburg, KY

  • Her maternal grandparents: Tommy (and Debbie) Scott of Burkesville, KY

  • Her great grandmothers: Joyce Scott and Wanda Brown

  • Her brother: Joshua Spears

  • Her sisters: Summer Spears and Blake Pitcock

  • Her aunts and uncles: Jason and Kristi Brown, Thomas and Ashley Brown

  • Several great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.
