From Majestic Yachts, Inc.: Jim Hadley says thanks! He's found the skilled workers right here in this area to do the work needed to fill contracts in hand. The staffing was complete in less than 20 hours from posting a help wanted ad on CM. By Ed Waggener Jim Hadley called Thursday afternoon, March 1, 2012 to say that he's was busy all morning interviewing the best qualified group of applicants he's ever had, and that he's now filled the slots needed to handle the new orders in hand at Majestic Yachts. "Since you posted the ad on the magazine yesterday," he said, "All I've been doing was interviewing. Now, we are through with the interviews We'll be happy to take applications, but, for right now, he said, "we aren't sure when we'll have the next openings." Majestic Yachts has gained national fame through David Greene's stories on National Public Radio, which portrayed the courageous perseverance of Mr Hadley and his company, in the face of one of the worst economic downturns ever to hit the United States. That positive publicity in bad times has helped, Hadley said, and now he thinks his company is poised to rebound with the economy. "When times were good," he said, "we knew the cyclical nature of our business, and planned accordingly," That's just one of the reasons why his company is now one of only five of the houseboat builders in the area still operating today. Only three years ago there were 17. This story was posted on 2012-03-02 01:26:01
