Jimmy Neat age 61 years of the Dunnville Road, Dunnville, KY passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 pmCT in Casey County.

Funeral service Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 12pm noon CT, at New Hope Separate Baptist Church, 10706 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating Bro. David Coffey. Interment in New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Church Road. Visitation after 4:30 pmCT CST Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.


Jimmy Neat, Adair Co., KY (1951-2012)

He was born on February 5, 1951 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Quinton Neat and Elizabeth Elnor Blackburn Neat of Dunnville, KY, who survives. He died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 61 years, 24 days.

Beside his mother he is survived by his wife: Vickie Payne Neat of Dunnville, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Dana Hagy and her significant other Shane Patterson of Columbia, KY; and Jessica Overby and husband Randy of Jamestown, KY

  • Three sisters: Jewell Brown and husband Gordon of Columbia, KY; Betty Warren and husband Benny of Dunnville, KY; Marilyn Gabehart and husband R.C. of Knifley, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Briana Hagy, Brandon Hagy, David Dial, Amber Overby andNathan Overby

  • Several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother Thomas Ray Neat in 1952 and one sisterBrenda Sue Neat in 1942.

He was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church, had worked at Tarter GateCompany, was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.
