Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The funeral services for Mrs. Valerie Ovena White will be conducted at 1pmCT, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Freddie Norris and Bro. Kevin Brantley will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Tuesday until time of the funeral service. Valerie Ovena White, Green Co., KY (1932-2012) Mrs. Valerie Ovena White was the daughter of the late James Anderson Smith and Bessie Lorene Smith. she was born on September 23, 1932 in Cumberland County, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. She was 79 years, and 5 months of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a former clerical worker for Dean Witter Investment Agency. She united in marriage to Richard White on May 19, 1979 who preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son: Mike Lowe in 1991; a sister and two brothers: Anetta Radcliff, Robert Smith and Wayne Smith. Survivors include the following:
